An Oklahoma man is in jail after allegedly trying to steal Balenciaga shoes from a woman he met on a sales app, Fox 25 reported.

Oklahoma City Police told Fox 25 that the victim was trying to sell red and silver Balenciaga shoes on the marketplace app Offer Up when he was contacted by someone with the username “Turbo,” who later identified him as a 21-year-old. He said he was identified as Taber. Carter.

The victim reported that she agreed to meet Carter at a 7-Eleven, but Carter never showed up.

After Carter failed to show up, the victim and her mother reportedly went to a T-Mobile store, where Carter messaged her shortly after to make a transaction. However, as the woman approached his car, the man pulled out a “Glock-like” handgun and pointed it at the victim’s head, Fox 25 reported.

“The victim told the suspect he was there to sell shoes, and during the interaction, the suspect pulled out a firearm and demanded property from the victim,” said Sgt. OKCPD’s Dillon Quirk told Fox 25.

According to the report, the victim gave Carter a pair of shoes, but he reached into his car and retrieved one of the shoes. Carter then went back to get her other shoe, but he told her he had already locked her in the car, the report said.
