On Sunday, Dec. 1, President Biden fulfilled his repeated vows. do not have He pardoned his son Hunter for his federal crimes and any other crimes he may have committed over the past 10 years.
Or, in the words of Dave Rubin, “old Joe Biden pretending to be president pardoned his dumb son.”
It may be infuriating that Joe Biden lied when he accepted the jury's decision and vowed not to use executive power to pardon Hunter, but this decision should not be shocking.
“Everything Joe Biden has been doing for the last four years has been a lie,” Dave says.
No matter how predictable Biden's decisions may be, that doesn't mean the public will tolerate them well.
The backlash is already spreading rapidly. Some of them were interesting.
Dave shows Biden's tweets from several months ago, with recently added community notes below them.
“Joe Biden has pardoned his son Hunter, in part, by pardoning him for not just a single crime, but every actual or potential crime he committed or did not commit over an 11-year period. “We have made it clear that people are actually above the national standards of law,” the memo said.
But Elon Musk's reaction to this community note was perhaps even more interesting.

Dave agrees. Community notes are certainly helpful.
“As you can see, the beauty of Community Notes is that [is that] You can click through referenced articles and “rate them” based on their usefulness, Dave says. “This is the kind of fact-checking device we've wanted for a long time.”
