Oldest living player and ex-Yankee pitcher Art Schallock dead at 100

MLB announced on Saturday. Sharock would have turned 101 in April.

The left-handed Sharock pitched for the Yankees from 1951-55, winning three World Series rings (and threw two innings of one run ball in the '53 series with the Dodgers).

He set up a room with Yogi Bella as a rookie, sharing a clubhouse with Joe DiMagio, Mickey Mantle and Phil Ritzout, making Ted Williams a hitless at the bat.

The Mill Valley, California native played his final season with the Orioles before returning to the Bay Area.

The Yankees honored Sharock last April and sent out a jersey signed by their team when they turned 100.
