Oliver Tree’s Final Day in Brazil

In his last social media update before his untimely death on Sunday, singer Oliver Tree shared highlights from his first day in Brazil.

The Instagram reel, posted on Saturday, featured the “Life Goes On” artist enjoying a lively day with Brazilian influencer Aye Blake. They engaged in soccer, biking, haircuts, and cooking.

The video, titled “Gringo 24 Hours, Brazil,” translates to “Foreigners in Brazil 24 Hours.”

Oliver Tree’s track “Worth Nothing” from his album “Twisted Fast and Furious: Drifting Tapes (Vonk Vol. 1)” provided the soundtrack as they went about their activities.

The reel has garnered nearly 9.7 million views, and many fans left messages expressing their condolences.

Sadly, Tree was involved in a helicopter crash in Rio de Janeiro; he was just 32 years old. Reports indicate that he was one of six individuals killed in the incident. Along with four others, he was aboard a helicopter that collided with another helicopter carrying one person.

The other victims included passengers Lucas Vignale, Gaspar Prim (known as Argentine YouTuber Gaspi), Lucas Brito Chavez, and pilots Alexandre Sousa and Charles Marsillac.

Authorities reported that the two helicopters collided in mid-air while flying over an electric vehicle yard, causing several cars to catch fire.

A forensic investigation has been initiated, and local police are currently looking into the case.

Tree had been traveling through South America as part of a tour that was set to continue with a concert in São Paulo on June 6th and in Lisbon on July 13th.

Familiar with helicopter travel, he recently shared a social media post about riding one, and he was scheduled to perform at the EDC Music Festival in Las Vegas in May.

Born in Santa Cruz, California, Tree gained recognition at 17 and had collaborated with notable artists like Skrillex and Zeds Dead under the stage name “Tree.” His most recent album, “Love You Madly, Hate You Badly,” was released in April.
