Olivia Culpo and Christian McCaffrey Welcome Their First Child
Olivia Culpo and her husband, Christian McCaffrey, have become parents! On Sunday, they shared the joyful news that their first child, Colette, had arrived, posting about the special occasion together.
The announcement included seven images from the hospital as they celebrated the birth of their baby girl.
Culpo, 33, and McCaffrey, 29, initially revealed in March that they were expecting a baby. At that time, the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model shared two black-and-white photos of herself, showcasing her baby bump in a beautiful flowing dress.
“Next chapter, motherhood,” she captioned the post on Instagram.
It hasn’t been the easiest pregnancy for Culpo. She opened up in March about some health challenges, mentioning that she had pneumonia which kept her resting for weeks. “I was sick for two weeks… overall, I was really resting for four weeks,” she explained. “Towards the end of those two weeks, I was basically immobilized and dealing with severe complications.”
Just months after their wedding in Rhode Island, news of Culpo’s pregnancy emerged. The couple had tied the knot in a charming ceremony at Watch Hill Chapel, followed by a reception at the Ocean House Resort.
Reflecting on their wedding, Culpo shared with Vogue, “Christian and I felt that our wedding weekend would start our lives together as a family. I wanted everything to feel intimate, yet to capture the significance of the moment.”
McCaffrey proposed to Culpo in April 2023, shortly before his first complete season with the 49ers. The talented running back had been traded to San Francisco from Carolina in October 2022.
He made his Super Bowl debut in February 2024 but faced disappointment when the 49ers lost to the Chiefs in an overtime match. Despite some injury struggles last season, McCaffrey, named the Offensive Player of the Year in 2023, is looking ahead to a stronger 2025.
