So, Bud Light, here’s a thought: look at how Miller Lite is using Olivia Dunn. We’re not sure if she’s actually drinking those beers at the game or if they’re just for show, but it’s a smart move. They’ve now elevated Miller Lite to a brand status similar to American Eagle by employing attractive women for marketing. It’s about playing the long game with brand image, right?
This whole “woke era,” which I’d say runs roughly from 2018 to 2024—around Trump’s election—will be remembered by marketing firms as a time when targeting transgender and DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) initiatives in sports truly flopped. Axios recently noted a projected market value for the company hitting at least $28 billion this year.
It’s amusing to think back on how brands have shifted focus. We’re essentially circling back to images of beautiful women enjoying themselves, even if it’s just for the optics of drinking American beer. Though I’m not a fan of Miller Lite myself, I get the nostalgia it triggers. It resonates with a certain segment of people, making them feel alive in a way.
On the other hand, Bud Light seems to be missing the mark. In over a year, their Instagram hasn’t showcased any female celebrities. Seriously. The last one to grace their account was back on April 29, 2025. They’ve instead stuck with guys like Post Malone and Peyton Manning. I mean, come on, throw in some women. It can’t be that hard. If they want help with marketing, I’d be more than happy to lend a hand!

📅 Today marks the start of two beloved seasons: Rec Baseball is kicking off tonight in Bowling Green, Ohio. Bring on the number one pitcher. He gets to throw three full innings, which, considering his throwing style, may not even reach 60 pitches.
MLB rules suggest kids shouldn’t exceed 95 pitches per day, which sounds excessive, to be honest. I mean, the pro coaches don’t even let their grown pitchers reach that in a single game.
I still think about that big kid I played with who had an unusual swing yet produced incredible results. It’s interesting; we’re using all this tech talk now, but I remember my dad saying, “That kid can hit,” back in the day. Those were the days.
Right now, I’m full of expectations, reminiscent of my high school days. I remember wanting to crush the competition, though not in a physical way. Just thinking about having that one glorious inning. Ah, sweet dreams.
But before any of this baseball excitement, I’ve got to mow the lawn. If I’m starting a mowing league, I guess I should lead by example, right?
Tips for Home Buyers
– Chris A. chimed in about sprucing up patio spaces. He shared how he built a lovely 16×12 backyard patio years ago with his father, and it’s been blissful ever since. They recently updated it, and he couldn’t be more thrilled. It’s something to consider for anyone buying a home.
He also had this neat idea of planting trees: After using a live tree for Christmas, you can replant it in your yard while the ground is still soft. I think it’s a fantastic way to nurture nature.
– Keith W. agreed, emphasizing the value of outdoor spaces. He’s even sharing beautiful views from his cabin in the Smokies where he hopes to spend more time relaxing.
On Car Trends
– Tyler V thinks vehicle designs without rear windows might not be the best. His wife’s car features a rearview camera, but he finds using it triggers some motion sickness.
Reader Reactions
– Brandon C. felt offended by a comment referring to Beavercreek, Ohio as “Beavertucky.” He shared his experiences and thoughts about the areas around Dayton, noting that it’s not what some might think.
He even managed to drop some local bar trivia, but insisted that overall, terms like “Tacky” should be reserved for places where they truly apply.
As someone with roots in these places, I find it fascinating how different perspectives can clash. Some of us are out there patrolling the internet, while others take on different roles in the community.
Airport Observations
– Dave D. recently reflected on his extensive travels, noting how he often sees children dressed in pajamas at the airport. It’s a strange trend, and he hesitates to capture it on camera. He shared his own journey traveling with unique challenges post-accident, explaining how he navigates airports differently from most.
So, as we gear up for this day, it’s time to enjoy the game and maybe kick back with a beer on the patio later. Let’s finish strong this month!
