Four people have been detained for questioning after the body of a 70-year-old woman was found stuffed in garbage bags inside a luxury apartment building in the Bronx, New York City.
According to the New York Daily News, police were called to the scene on Grand Concourse Street in Mott Haven just before 2 p.m. Thursday. The victim was from Georgia and was staying with relatives in an apartment in the Bronx.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said the victim was found by her stepdaughter, whose mother is the registered tenant of the apartment.
Two men and two women, relatives of the victim, were questioned by police, but the three were later released.
Police said Inga Bearden, 53, was charged with concealing a corpse, a felony, according to the New York Daily News. Bearden’s relationship to her victim is unknown.

Officials said there were no signs of physical trauma to the body as police were awaiting autopsy results to determine the cause of death.
The discovery comes days after another woman, 52-year-old Nadia Vitel, was found stuffed inside a duffel bag in her Kips Bay apartment. In Pennsylvania, two squatters were arrested after leaving New York in a stolen Vitel SUV and crashing it.
