One man, 25, dead, another injured in Bronx shooting

A 25-year-old man was killed and a 23-year-old man was seriously injured in a shooting in the Bronx on Saturday night.

Police responded to multiple 911 calls reporting shots fired in the area of ​​East 187th Street and Tiebout Street in Fordham Heights just before 9 p.m. Saturday.

There, officers found a 25-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the chest and a 23-year-old man with gunshot wounds to the abdomen and buttocks.

Both victims were taken by ambulance to Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center, where the 25-year-old man was pronounced dead, police said.

Police added that the 23-year-old is currently in stable condition.

The identity of the 25-year-old victim is not being released pending notification of his family.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
