Nicole Daedone, a prominent figure in orgasmic meditation, previously suggested that aggressive sexuality could be used to prevent rape. In a rather striking example, she claimed to have confronted a man with a knife by “turning my py high.”
Daedone, who founded a controversial group named Onetaste, faced trial in Brooklyn Federal Court alongside her former sales chief, Rachel Schelwitz. During the proceedings, a video was presented showing a judge reacting to Daedone’s purportedly distorted views on sexual crimes.
In a recording from a 2013 seminar, Daedone stated that she had heard women express fears about being sexually assaulted. She asserted, “If you want to know, the real way to deflect rape is to turn 100% on because there’s nothing to rape. All men bow to women who have 100% on,” during a video recorded in August of that year.
Later in the video, she recounted an encounter with a “dark” man brandishing a knife during her past as a stripper, saying, “I shouldn’t be alive.” She described how she responded to the threat, asking him, “How did you know I like it?”
Daedone also shared that her father, who died in prison after being convicted of child molestation, was, in her view, “too evolved to be constrained by the law.” She expressed that she never regarded him as a bad person, shifting the focus to a notion that he operated beyond societal rules.
Now 58, Daedone and 45-year-old Schelwitz are accused of conspiracy to commit forced labor, allegedly luring individuals with past traumas into costly courses and labor for the group. They have pleaded not guilty. If convicted at the end of the trial, they could face sentences of up to 20 years.
So far, the jury has heard a testimony from one witness who shared her experience of feeling pressured into working for Onetaste to pay for training after joining the group in 2011. This witness, referred to as Becky, recalled being expected to participate in intimate activities as part of the coaching sessions.
