Only 50% Chance Presidential Debates Happen

Democratic strategist James Carville told MSNBC’s “Inside” on Monday that there is only a 50% chance that a presidential debate will take place.

Moderator Jen Psaki asked, “What do you think Biden needs to do in this debate?”

“He needs to really understand this abortion issue,” Carville said. “That’s the first thing he needs to do. I don’t mean to point to the Supreme Court. I don’t think the Supreme Court operates under the same ethical rules. There’s one issue that I want to kick hard, and I wonder why it hasn’t been kicked harder, because this $1 billion donation is about the right to US energy policy. He’s outsourcing energy policy. I can’t think of two better issues. I would go after him really hard on those two things.”

“He agreed to two things,” Psaki said. “I’m a little skeptical that that could happen because Trump is a liar. Do you think Biden should agree to more debates or two this season?” Do you think that’s enough?”

He added: “I agree. I don’t think there’s much more than a 50/50 chance of him showing up on June 27th. So it’s a good topic, but from the way Trump thinks. All I’m trying to do is help him. Why take the risk? I don’t know, I’ll prepare, but I share your skepticism.”
