Rep. Jim Himes, D-Conn., told CNN’s “The Source” on Thursday that only a “very small percentage” of his colleagues are still aligned with President Joe Biden.
“Do you foresee any other Democrats in the House who will be voting? And if so, how many more do you think will be voting?” moderator Kaitlan Collins asked.
“I don’t know the answer to that question. All I can say is that after discussing it among my colleagues, there is a very small percentage of my colleagues who say this is the only way forward and will ride it out until they die,” Himes said.
He added, “My colleagues and I are worried about two things. One, what’s Plan B? That’s a totally legitimate question. I actually think Plan B looks pretty good. I don’t know what it is, but there’s no outstanding talent on the Democratic roster, and they’re also worried about a very legitimate issue that has vexed me and continues to vex me, which is: we can’t be here anymore. We have to get this fixed. I don’t know what the next five to seven days will hold, because we’ve just had 10 days of talk not about Donald Trump promising totalitarianism, but about what Joe Biden is going to do with his big boy press conferences. Whatever you think about this, this has to stop.”
