Oprah Winfrey Completely Omits Democrat’s Long History of Supporting Segregation in DNC Speech

Oprah Winfrey made a surprise appearance at the Democratic National Convention on Wednesday, bringing some joy to the crowd of several thousand gathered in Chicago, literally belting out “Jooooy!” in her signature vibrato. But what the former talk show diva left out was a historical fact that amounts to yet another attempt by Democratic elites to manipulate black voters.

In her speech, Oprah Winfrey portrayed the Democratic Party as the party that fights “bullies,” racists and sexists. “I’ve been a victim of that,” the billionaire media mogul claimed. She cited the late Rep. John Lewis (D-Ga.) and school segregation in the South to bolster the Democrats’ case that they are the only choice for black Americans.

But Oprah left out the fact that many Southern Democrats supported racial segregation and were the most vocal opponents of integration.

American history is replete with examples of Democrats literally blocking Black Americans from integrating public schools.
On June 11, 1963, Alabama Governor George Wallace (Democrat) stood outside Foster Auditorium at the University of Alabama in an attempt to prevent black students from enrolling. In September 1957, Arkansas Governor Orval Faubus (Democrat) ordered the state’s National Guard to block entrances to classrooms at Central High School to prevent the entry of a group that would become known as the “Little Rock Nine.”

Many Democratic senators voted against the Civil Rights Act of 1964. 80 percent of Republicans in Congress Supported the bill By contrast, fewer than 70% of Democrats said the same.

In an attempt to block the bill, some Democratic senators filibustered it for 75 days.

In 1977, President Joe Biden voiced his opposition to school busing to integrate black students, arguing it would lead to his children growing up in a “racial jungle.”

As recently as 2019, Biden paid tribute to the late Sens. James Eastland (D-Mississippi) and Herman Talmadge (D-Ga.), who praised racists and believed black people were inferior to white people.

In one infamous moment during a 2019 presidential primary debate, Kamala Harris attacked Biden’s comments about school busing and strongly implied that Biden was a racist.

But just months later, when Biden selected Harris as his running mate, she covered up the affair.

In her speech at the Democratic National Convention, Oprah Winfrey tried to draw a line between poor black girls living in the segregated South and Kamala Harris, suggesting that she somehow represented the pinnacle of their lineage.

But Kamala Harris has no ties to black Southerners: She grew up mostly in Montreal, Canada, the daughter of an elite university professor to a Jamaican father and an Indian mother.

Democrats are panicking that more and more black voters are leaving the party and turning to former President Donald Trump.

Black Americans, like the rest of the country, are tired of Kamalanomics’ resulting rise in consumer prices that has put basic goods and services out of reach for millions of families.

Black communities have also been disproportionately hit by Kamala Harris’ policies that allow illegal immigration into the U.S., leading local governments to cut services like police and public education while providing free housing and other taxpayer-funded benefits to undocumented immigrants.
