The family of a 24-year-old Oregon woman reportedly killed in a boating accident while tubing with friends is blaming erratic driving for her unexpected death over the weekend.
The GoFundMe description for Kylie Seidel’s funeral expenses says she died in hospital on June 22 after a “tragic boating accident.”
“Her incredible energy and beautiful smile always made the world a better place,” the caption reads. “This tragedy leaves so many of us heartbroken and confused as to why such a young and beautiful life was cut so short. Kaylee was a light to so many.”

She reportedly pleaded with the driver, who was allegedly zigzagging across the river, to slow down.
“She was so innocent and so cruelly taken from her because of someone’s reckless decision,” Kaylee’s sister, Aaliyah Seidel, told FOX 12. “We feel her absence so palpably. There is a hole in all of our hearts and it is so quiet.”

Aaliyah described her sister as “spontaneous” and “fun.”

“She was invited to go on a boat ride but she never knew it would be her last day,” Aaliyah told the outlet.

Caylee’s aunt, Rachel Hunsperger, told FOX 12 that the driver of the boat swerved and Caylee lost control of the boat, causing her to be thrown over the side of another boat up the river.
“This was not just an accident.”

“That’s not like her. She was always like, ‘Come on, let’s have some fun.’ If she was telling someone to slow down, she was probably scared,” Rachel said. “This wasn’t just an accident. I definitely feel someone is at fault and I hope that comes to light.”
The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office told Fox News Digital that a 911 caller reported “witnessing a female being struck by another boat” around 8 p.m. on June 22. “The female was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced deceased upon arrival,” the sheriff’s office said.
The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office River Patrol is investigating Caylee’s death but was unable to provide further information as of press time.
