Oregon Duck Mascot Faces Mishap During Game

The Oregon Duck mascot had a bit of an embarrassing moment on Saturday night during a match against Montana. As the team took the field, complete with cheerleaders and dancers, the mascot stumbled in the end zone, causing its head to pop off. In a somewhat frantic act, the headless mascot rushed toward the tunnel, presumably trying to hide the mishap.

It didn’t take long for the mascot to make a comeback, quickly retrieving its head and returning to the field. This amusing incident didn’t take long to go viral on social media, spreading laughter among fans. Interestingly, this isn’t the first time the Oregon Duck has experienced such wardrobe malfunctions; a similar incident occurred last season at Purdue when the mascot lost its head after tripping.

Despite the distraction, the Oregon Ducks managed to secure a resounding victory against Montana, winning 59-13. They scored 17 points in the first quarter and added another 21 in the second, showcasing a strong performance overall.

Quarterback Dante Moore played particularly well, completing 18 out of 23 passes for 213 yards and three touchdowns. Additionally, running back Jordan Davison managed to score three rushing touchdowns, while both Noah Whittington and Jaden Rimer contributed as well. Impressively, each of the ten Duck receivers recorded at least one catch throughout the game.

Reflecting on last season, Oregon finished with an impressive 13-1 record and successfully reached the college football playoffs, making their mark in various states. However, they did face a setback in the Rose Bowl against the Buckeyes.
