Protest at Minnesota Church Organized by Activist
A leftist activist orchestrated a protest at a Christian church in St. Paul, Minnesota, targeting U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Nekima Levy Armstrong, a civil rights attorney known for her activist work, was involved in the demonstration held at Cities Church.
In a video she shared, which referred to the event as “our demonstration,” attendees were seen storming the church, chanting against ICE. Armstrong suggested that the church’s pastors were affiliated with ICE, intensifying the protest’s message.
She declared, “The time has come for judgment to begin. It will begin in the house of God!” It’s worth noting that Armstrong is a former law professor who has become immersed in activism, frequently sharing her far-left perspectives on social media.
Recalling a boycott she supported against Target due to its reduction of diversity efforts, Armstrong has voiced strong opinions about corporate actions she views as counterproductive to social justice.
Recently, she praised Assata Shakur, a convicted police killer, calling her a “brave, wise, strong, revolutionary black woman.” Shakur, who faced charges for killing a state trooper in the 1970s, died recently in Havana, Cuba, many years after escaping from prison and resurfacing there.
The FBI had labeled Shakur one of the most wanted terrorists, placing a bounty on her that remains a historical marker of her controversial legacy.
Armstrong concluded her tribute with a commitment to continue chanting the “Assata Shakur chant” during protests, embedding Shakur’s memory into ongoing activist efforts.
Attempts to reach Armstrong for additional statements went unanswered.
