Our Courts ‘Got it Right,’ Trump Incited Insurrection

Colorado Secretary of State Jenna Griswold said Monday on CNN's “The Situation Room” that the state's court “got it right” in ruling that former President Donald Trump incited an insurrection. Ta.

Griswold said, “I think it's important to realize that we're only here because Donald Trump incited the insurrection. He created this situation himself. This very situation. There is clear language in Section 3 of the 14th Amendment to the Constitution: I believe he is a threat to democracy, voting rights, and the future stability of this country, but of course the United States Supreme Court… I will wait for the verdict. Of course, I will comply with any orders during the election period.”

She continued, “I believe the Colorado Supreme Court got it right. There are only two courts in this country that have challenged this decision. Did Donald Trump incite an insurrection? Both of those courts It’s here in Colorado, and both said yes, he did.”

Griswold added, “I also don't believe there should be any loopholes in the Constitution for a president who decides to rebel. When we say, 'No one is above the law,' You must be serious about that. When Donald Trump attempts to usurp the presidency, it should not be interpreted as saying that no one is above the law. As for some people concerned about political repercussions, my job is to put politics aside and follow the law and the Constitution. ”
