UFC Costume Designs Unveiled for Freedom 250 Event
The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has unveiled new costume designs for its upcoming event at the White House, which marks America’s 250th anniversary. This festive occasion is set to include mixed martial arts matches.
In a sneak peek, UFC Octagon girls Red Dela Cruz and Chrissy Blair showcased the vibrant red, white, and blue outfits. These costumes are not just variations of traditional garb; they bring a fresh take with a blend of patriotism and fun.
The collection includes energetic ensembles, such as sequined hot pants paired with structured bustier tops and western-style belts, alongside striking dresses featuring long skirts and daring miniskirts. Adorned with stars and stripes, the looks channel a Wonder Woman vibe, accentuated by bold star-shaped jewelry in silver and gold.
Marina Toybina, a seven-time Emmy Award-winning costume designer, shared her insights with a publication, noting, “The inspiration came from merging sport, spectacle, and celebration. Collaborating with UFC, we aimed to design outfits that reflect the dynamism of the brand while honoring the significance of the 250th anniversary. We tried to integrate themes of strength, athleticism, and American heritage into a sophisticated and powerful wardrobe.”
She also mentioned that each costume explores a narrative of red, white, and blue with rich textiles, unique embroidery, and patriotic motifs, bringing a fresh perspective to American glamour.
These eye-catching costumes will be on display during the UFC Freedom 250 event scheduled for Sunday, June 14th. The designs resonate with a large patriotic art piece that has been prominently placed on the White House South Lawn, ready for the multifight event coinciding with both Flag Day and President Donald Trump’s 80th birthday.
Additionally, the Octagon models are set to appear at the ceremonial weigh-in on Saturday, June 13th, at The Ellipse, a public park near the White House.
In an exciting matchup, Georgia wrestler Ilia Topuria will go head-to-head with U.S. wrestler Justin Gaethje as the main event draws near.
