As election season ramps up, we’re not just seeing a flood of campaign ads; there’s also a new wave of, well, let’s say, challenging liberal songs written by white women who seem to be heavily influenced by their anti-Trump sentiments.
“There’s a well-known saying about two certainties in life: death and taxes. I can get behind that, but I’d like to suggest a third one,” says BlazeTV host Sara Gonzales.
“Unhinged liberal white women will release a new song to persuade you to vote, especially as we near an election. You can count on it happening, and honestly, it’s always pretty awful. That’s just a given.”
In a viral video, singers belt out, “We won’t, we won’t ever let go of that hard-won freedom, freedom to vote.”
“The charisma is underwhelming, to say the least,” Gonzales remarks with a hint of sarcasm.
“I find it amusing how one of the women is holding up a sign saying, ‘Make it too big to rig.’ So, do elections get stolen or not? Because I thought that wasn’t really a thing,” she adds.
“But hold on, because there are even more liberals on board with this song. They appear to think that standing on a street corner and performing like this is the way to get people to vote,” she notes further.
She proceeds to share a clip of another group of women, this time with instruments, performing the same song, which comes off as a bit more lively.
“They seem to have more energy, at least,” she quips, then rolls into another clip featuring yet another liberal song.
“My persecution is your persecution, and your persecution is my persecution,” a woman sings.
“I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve nearly nodded off since this clip started,” Gonzales comments dryly.
“And yes, those people’s votes carry just as much weight as anyone else’s,” she adds, slightly exasperated.
