Ozzy Osbourne Passed Away Due to a Heart Attack and Coronary Disease

Ozzy Osbourne’s Cause of Death Revealed

A report from The New York Times indicates that Ozzy Osbourne’s death was due to a heart attack linked to coronary artery disease.

His daughter, Aimée, provided a death certificate to the NYT, which noted that Osbourne passed away from a hospital cardiac arrest, acute myocardial infarction, coronary artery disease, and Parkinson’s disease, with additional complications from autonomic dysfunction.

The certificate described him as “a songwriter, performer, and rock legend.”

On July 22, emergency services were dispatched to the Black Sabbath frontman’s residence near Chalfont St Giles in Buckinghamshire, England.

A representative from the Thames Valley Air Ambulance Service stated they were sent to provide critical care, although further details weren’t shared.

The ambulance traveled eight miles from Harefield Hospital in Uxbridge, remaining on site for around an hour before his passing was announced.

Osbourne performed two sets on July 5 at a “Back to the Start” concert with Black Sabbath in Birmingham, where he spoke to fans about his health challenges during the performance.

“I was laid up for six years,” he expressed, receiving a warm cheer from the audience. “Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

This marked his last public appearance and the end of his extensive career.

A funeral procession on July 30 drew tens of thousands of fans in Birmingham, where they honored him as the city watched a marching band play.

Fans brought flowers and stuffed animals in tribute, while Sharon Osbourne was visibly emotional, acknowledging the outpouring of love and support.
