P.J. Clarke’s manager sexually assaulted bartender, suit claims

A new lawsuit alleges that P.J. Clark's general manager sexually harassed and assaulted a bartender and even tried to “ruin” the woman's marriage by trying to convince her to leave her sick husband.

Amber Daza, 31, has been working at the famous 100-year-old bar and grill in Lincoln Square since April, when her boss, Kylesten Nunn, told her that she didn't want him, according to filings in Manhattan federal court. It is said that he was sexually tempted.

Nunn went to Daza's apartment and insisted on staying the night, telling Daza that if he slept through the night, “he might lose control of himself,” the complaint said.

Nunn told Daza he could get better bartending shifts so he could make more money and “be around her more often,” according to the complaint.

On Mother's Day, Nan sent Daza $30 as a gift for her mother. Daza said he immediately sent it back.

During a scheduled work meeting in May, Nunn allegedly showed up drunk and made sexual advances to Daza. She suggested Ms Daza might need to “break up” from her husband and asked if she had ever “dated” a woman before.

Nunn then grabbed Daza by the neck and tried to kiss her, leaving bruises, according to the complaint.

Daza did not respond to the advances, said he was uncomfortable, asked Nunn to be respectful and told him to stop, according to court documents.

The next day, Nunn reportedly sent Daza an apology, saying, “It wasn't me, it was the alcohol,'' and “I failed.''

According to the complaint, Daza filed a police report in June and filed a complaint with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in July.

After filing the complaint, Daza said she was retaliated against by working unwanted shifts and receiving no tips.

Co-workers told Daza that Nunn had said she wanted to “ruin” Daza's marriage, the suit alleges.

The filing also alleges that Nunn had sexual relationships with other subordinates and offered scheduling benefits and “favorable terms” in exchange for sex.

Human resources and Daza's managers knew about the harassment allegations but did nothing, according to the complaint. Nunn, PJ Clark's Lincoln Square and its management company SLH Management are named.

Daza is seeking unspecified damages.

Nunn eventually resigned, but it's unclear exactly when, according to the complaint, P.J. Clark “delayed meaningful intervention,” during which time he fostered a “hostile work environment” and It is said that Mr. Za and others were subjected to continuous harassment.

Lawyers for both parties did not immediately respond to The Post's inquiries.
