P.K. Subban’s NHL playoff predictions were truly unfortunate

PK Subban’s NHL Analysis Surprises

PK Subban has discovered that being an analyst for ESPN allows him to voice his opinions passionately, whether positive or negative. Yet, there are some challenges, particularly around accurately analyzing hockey.

With the Stanley Cup playoffs in full swing and the Eastern Conference Finals kicking off on Tuesday, it’s interesting to reflect on Subban’s surprising predictions from a month ago.

He, unfortunately, got every matchup in the playoffs wrong; for instance, the Jets triumphed over the Blues and the Golden Knights were eliminated by the Wild in the first round. He missed every single series.

Additionally, Subban picked all four teams that exited in the conference finals during the first round, with only the Oilers managing to push their series to seven games. Out of his four selections for the conference finals, only the Golden Knights managed to win their initial series.

It’s almost amusing to think about printing a screenshot of this tweet on glossy paper and displaying it on my desk. Actually, if my Hurricanes clinch the Stanley Cup this year, I might just do that.
