Packers’ Flight Delayed Before Game Against Cardinals
The Green Bay Packers are on their way to Phoenix to face the Cardinals, though the journey faced some bumps.
The team’s plane, carrying players and coaches, experienced a delay of over five hours on Saturday due to mechanical issues, necessitating a replacement plane from Detroit.
The original flight for the coaching staff left on schedule at 2:15 p.m. ET, while the second plane was set to depart at 2:30 p.m., according to reports.
It appears the trouble with the backup plane may have begun after everyone had boarded.
Finally, the plane was able to take off at 8:05 p.m. ET, but it was going to arrive in Phoenix around 10:32 p.m., significantly later than planned.
Looking ahead, the Packers’ game against the Cardinals is set for Sunday at 4:25 p.m. ET.
Currently, the Packers lead the NFC North with a record of 3-1-1. However, there are some uncertainties headed into the match, particularly regarding Josh Jacobs, a three-time Pro Bowler.
Jacobs, who is still categorized as questionable due to an illness, faces a “true game-time decision,” sources suggest.
The 27-year-old running back participated fully in team activities on Friday but has been under the weather since his notable performance—where he scored two rushing touchdowns—in the Packers’ recent win over the Bengals.
“I didn’t feel well when I woke up this morning,” Jacobs commented after the game, recalling a time when he faced a similarly uncomfortable situation. “But I told them, ‘The last time I felt like this, I was scoring touchdowns.’”
He added, “I wasn’t sure if they’d pick it up because I was miked, but I had some moments on the field where I almost coughed up a lung, and teammates were concerned. We’ll see how it goes.”
During this season, Jacobs has already made quite an impact, scoring six touchdowns and accumulating 359 rushing yards on 98 carries.
