Jordan Love at least avoided a serious injury to one of the major ligaments in his knee during the Green Bay Packers' game against the Philadelphia Eagles on Friday night in Brazil.
today, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero They reported that Love's ACL remains “intact.”
The Packers quarterback will have to undergo further testing, EPSN reported: Love's MCL does appear to be torn, and while he will likely be out for an extended period of time, the injury is not expected to force him out for the rest of the season.

Love was helped off the field with an apparent left leg injury in the final seconds of the Packers' 34-29 loss to the Eagles. The Packers did not immediately release the extent of Love's injury.
When asked about Love's status immediately after the game, Packers head coach Matt LaFleur twice said, “I don't know.”
Malik Willis, a 2022 third-round draft pick out of Liberty University, is the only quarterback currently on Green Bay's 53-man roster and is likely to replace Love. Willis joined the Packers just under two weeks ago, after being acquired from the Tennessee Titans in exchange for a 2025 seventh-round draft pick.

Willis made three starts in his rookie year.
Love, 25, played his first regular-season game since signing a four-year, $220 million contract extension this summer. The Packers entered the season with Super Bowl aspirations largely due to Love's emergence, after he led the NFL's youngest team to a surprising playoff run last season as a first-year starter.

Besides Willis, 2023 fifth-round draft pick Sean Clifford could be an option for the Packers. After acquiring Willis, the Packers waived Clifford and rookie quarterback Michael Pratt. Clifford later returned to Green Bay as a member of the practice squad.

LaFleur acknowledged the Packers played a “sloppy game” and said they need to fix it before their next game.

“We've got a lot to improve on,” LaFleur said. “I think it was obviously a sloppy game for us. We had some actions that were just uncharacteristic, quite frankly, on our staff, and that rubbed off on our players. So, at the end of the day, we've all got to take a hard look at ourselves and find ways to get better, because we obviously weren't good enough tonight.”
The Packers open their regular season home series on Sept. 15 against the Indianapolis Colts.
