Palantir stock plunges 14% as sluggish sales forecast disappoints – Quartz

William Blair analyst Louis DiPalma reiterated his underperform rating on the stock, writing, “We do not believe the company’s commercial momentum in the U.S. is sustainable.”

Palantir develops AI tools for military and intelligence agencies. The company is one of the leading stocks in the technology industry’s current AI craze, with AI momentum increasing over 200% in the past 12 months thanks to new products. In the first quarter of 2024, Palantir won $178 million from the US Army for the development of deep sensing capabilities for its AI-powered vehicles.
