Former President Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton have chosen not to comply with depositions requested by the House Oversight Committee, even after being subpoenaed as part of a Republican inquiry into Jeffrey Epstein’s network and notable associates.
In the past, when individuals ignored Congressional subpoenas during the Biden administration, the Department of Justice (DOJ), under former Attorney General Merrick Garland, acted by securing arrests and prosecutions. There’s a sense that the left is not willing to tolerate any disregard for its authority.
The Clintons, however, seem to believe they can bypass Republican oversight. It’s curious whether this apparent flouting of the law is linked to Attorney General Pam Bondi’s inability to hold the left accountable as critics have claimed.

Bill didn’t show up. Hillary didn’t show up. Democrats were absent. Epstein once asserted he aided in establishing the Clinton Foundation.

Many voters perceive Bondi’s time as attorney general as a substantial missed opportunity during Trump’s second term. Trump had campaigned with robust promises of accountability, and people expected the administration to confront those who had wielded government power against them during the Biden era. Transparency around Epstein and dismantling alleged corruption were key parts of that promise.
With Republicans managing both the White House and Congress, it was a pivotal moment to transform the DOJ into an effective agency for justice. Unfortunately, reports indicate that Bondi has been handling the department in a way that seems overly cautious and ineffective. Even Trump himself has called her “weak and incompetent.”
Almost a year has gone by without any significant indictments, and cases against individuals like James Comey, who was involved in the Russiagate saga, have collapsed due to technicalities. Meanwhile, Congress’ criminal referrals are gathering dust.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Trump has expressed frustration over this lack of action, even suggesting it was merely coincidence that no steps were being taken. In one public communication, he pressed Bondi to act against Comey, Adam Schiff, and Letitia James.
In the aftermath of Charlie Kirk’s murder, no left-leaning organization has faced accountability from the Bondi’s DOJ, which has drawn criticism for not addressing the violence against conservatives. An examination pointed out the chasm between the Trump administration’s aggressive statements and the absence of meaningful actions against left-wing groups following Kirk’s death.
Despite pressure from Trump officials, efforts to investigate and hold people accountable have largely stalled, in part due to apprehensions about potential backlash from donors, including some within the Republican Party.
Everyone from Don Jr. to Charlie Kirk to Poso shared similar concerns. “Bad people may appear. Don’t act because they might harm you.” These weren’t just idle fears.

In December, Bondi circulated a memo outlining possible charges against Antifa-related groups and instructed the FBI to focus on domestic terrorism linked to the left. Yet, there have been no significant indictments or comprehensive actions against key liberal organizations accused of promoting violence.
Where is the promised dismantling of the system? This lack of action is eroding confidence among Republican supporters. Many see Bondi’s inertia as a sign of protectionism rather than a challenge to the elite in D.C.
This government change initiated an undeniable power shift, and voters expected decisive action. Bondi’s approach feels more like maintaining the establishment than confronting it. The DOJ under her leadership doesn’t seem to be the force against corruption it ought to be. It looks more like the status quo being preserved for those harming Americans.
Rep. James Comer stated that arrests and a lack of accountability are major grievances among Republicans.

The left appears to be disregarding Congressional subpoenas, and there seems to be no accountability for those allegedly inciting violence against conservatives, while figures like James Comey feel secure in their positions. All evidence suggests that the DOJ is unlikely to pursue these matters, which creates a one-sided protection for the left.
If the Democrats regain control, Bondi and her peers will likely face the consequences of their inactions. There’s little doubt that the tactics used against conservatives will be revived, as they’ve promised the same before.
Republican voters aren’t asking Bondi to target innocent individuals as imagined by radical leftists. They want accountability for those who commit crimes, which should be her primary focus as head of the DOJ.
