Pam Bondi was diagnosed with cancer shortly after being let go by Trump, according to a report.

After being dismissed from her role as attorney general by President Trump, Pam Bondi was diagnosed with thyroid cancer, as reported recently.

At 60, Bondi has undergone treatment and is reportedly recovering well. Amid these developments, there are indications that President Trump wants her on an advisory board focused on artificial intelligence.

Bondi’s termination coincided with Trump attending oral arguments in a civil rights case related to birthright citizenship. She is expected to contribute to the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST).

On social media, there has been an outpouring of support for how she has been handling her diagnosis. Katie Miller, a former White House staffer, noted, “Pam has been quietly kicking cancer’s butt for the past few weeks.”

Miller further expressed admiration, saying, “[Bondi] has a heart of gold.”

Fortunately, most thyroid cancers can be effectively treated, and the prognosis is generally favorable. The Cleveland Clinic mentions that the five-year survival rate exceeds 98%, which is reassuring.

Interestingly, Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law, disclosed in his memoir that he had been grappling with thyroid cancer while actively working in the White House during Trump’s early presidency.

Kushner underwent two surgeries to address the condition, one of which was during his time managing Middle East affairs for Trump.

Following her dismissal, Bondi expressed her commitment to continue supporting President Trump, describing his first year in office as “arguably the most important” for the Department of Justice. She stated her lasting gratitude for the trust he placed in her to help ensure national safety.

In the meantime, Todd Blanche has been appointed as the interim attorney general until a permanent successor is determined.

The White House has yet to respond to requests for comments on this situation.
