Pamela Anderson seems to have refuted claims of being in a public relations-driven relationship with her “Naked Gun” co-star Liam Neeson.
“I didn’t contribute to any PR stunts,” she mentioned during her appearance at the Deauville American Film Festival while receiving the festival’s Deauville Talent Awards in France. This was on a Friday.
“It’s really going to be a death sentence,” she continued, reflecting on the rumors. “I’m genuinely invested in love. I’m a bit superstitious about it, honestly, and I’m not comfortable with sharing too much of my romantic life.”
“Sure, I fall in love on screen quite frequently. That’s part of the job. If we do it right, you’ll feel that connection,” she elaborated.
Addressing the speculation surrounding her and Neeson, she stated, “It’s honestly the greatest compliment. So let’s think positively. I truly value the well-wishes. There’s no silly game happening here. I’m being sincere.”
Representatives for both Anderson and Neeson did not respond to requests for comments.
The 58-year-old Anderson and the 73-year-old Neeson sparked dating rumors during a summer press tour for their film filled with affectionate moments.
According to various sources, they were reportedly in the “early stages of a budding romance,” with claims that “it’s clear they’re really into each other.”
Andy Cohen remarked on the romance, comparing Anderson to Neeson’s late wife, Natasha Richardson. “She’s very much like Tash, a fierce independent woman who enjoys cooking and is always doing her own thing,” he said.
Shortly after, reports surfaced suggesting there was no romantic involvement, but rather a calculated promotional strategy for the film.
However, insiders informed Page 6 last Friday that while there was undeniable chemistry, it never escalated into a romantic relationship.
Their friendship, nevertheless, is “real,” with the source emphasizing that they have always been connected.
Another insider previously stated that their affectionate appearances on the red carpet were “very genuine” and not staged.
Anderson has been married multiple times, including to Tommy Lee and Kid Rock. She recently married Dan Hayhurst in 2020, but they divorced in 2022. She has two sons with Lee.
Neeson was married to Richardson from 1994 until her tragic passing in 2009, following a skiing accident. They also had two sons together.
