Parent serves alcoholic Jell-O shots to a classroom of children — the second incident of its kind in a month

Kindergartener Brings Alcohol-Infused Jello Shots to School

A kindergartener in Pennsylvania recently brought spiked Jello shots to school, sharing them with her classmates. This incident occurred less than a month after her mother was arrested for a similar offense involving spiked drinks at a fifth-grade class party.

The Greater Johnstown School District confirmed in a statement that at least three kindergarteners had consumed the alcoholic treats. An official noted, “The affected students were immediately taken to the nurse’s office for assessment,” and mentioned that emergency services were alerted due to the seriousness of the situation.

Details about how the child obtained the Jello shots remain unclear, but authorities have launched an investigation into the matter. It appears that the trend of bringing such items into elementary school classrooms is not isolated.

Interestingly, just last month in Texas, a mother was arrested for providing spiked Jello shots during her daughter’s fifth-grade Christmas party. She claimed she was unaware that the shots contained alcohol.

In that Texas incident, at least 15 children consumed the shots, with some experiencing adverse effects. The 33-year-old mother stated she had purchased the shots from someone through Facebook and had no idea they were alcoholic.
