Paris Hilton has once again been called out by the parenting police for her water safety tactics after she failed to make her son, Phoenix Barron Hilton Reum, wear a life jacket during a recent ocean outing.
The 43-year-old reality TV star on Wednesday shared a TikTok video of her 1-year-old son exploring the luxury Sunreef catamaran that she and her husband, Carter Reum, chartered while vacationing in France last month.
“Watching Phoenix explore the world has been so special for me! So grateful to be a #SlivingMom,” Hilton wrote in the caption of the video, which features Ed Sheeran's 2014 hit “Photograph.”

In the video, Phoenix, wearing a burgundy shirt and matching shorts, can be seen happily roaming around the catamaran as it moves through the waves. The toddler walks across the deck, crawls on a net over the water and goes down a few flights of stairs, calling out “Mommy.”
After Hilton posted the video, several of her followers took to the comments section to express concern that Phoenix wasn't wearing a life jacket during the outing.
“Mom, always make sure he wears a life jacket when out on a boat!! Stuff happens, that's why we call it an accident. Love,” one fan wrote.

“Concerned that we don't see anyone wearing a life jacket! Safety first on the water!” added another follower.
“From mom to mom…life jackets please!” one social media user commented.
“Walking on the net above the water was scary,” another fan commented, adding a series of monkey covering their eyes emojis.
“I didn't realise there was a net or that it wasn't just water so it's not like he had a mini heart attack. Sweetie! Glad he's safe. Just woke up so…” wrote a TikTok user.
“We're all here for life jacket advice right? Beautiful boat, beautiful life, you'll be even safer with a jacket on,” warned another follower.

Hilton responded to the criticism on Thursday, explaining that she and Reum were with their son while he was exploring the boat and that Phoenix was in no danger during the expedition.
“Thank you mommies for the advice and always looking out for my #CutesieCrew. It's a big ship and my husband and I follow them everywhere and watch over them like hawks. My babies are my world!” she wrote in the comments section.
Hilton and Reum, who married in November 2021, also have a 9-month-old daughter, London.
This is not the first time the media personality has faced criticism over her parenting skills.

In May, Hilton shared a TikTok video of her and Phoenix playing in the water, but all eyes were on the safety vest strapped upside down around the baby's body.
As her followers flooded the comments section to slam Hilton for her inappropriate use, the DJ joked, “Oops,” and reassured fans that she had the situation under full control.
“Hey mom, this is advice from a fellow puddle jumper mom, but I think this is backwards. I love this video though. Pure fun,” one fan wrote.

The Simple Life star responded to the social media user, writing, “Oops! Thank you! I didn't take him off my arm. I thought it was upside down too so I told the person I bought it from and they said I was right. But thanks so much for letting me know.”

Earlier that month, Hilton faced heavy criticism after posting a video showing her children improperly secured in forward-facing car seats.

However, Hilton later reassured fans that she had taken their advice seriously.
In a TikTok video, Hilton showed off her state-of-the-art “Sliving Mom Van” with her “Cuties Crew,” which includes Phoenix and London.
The socialite's children sat facing backwards and properly fastened their seat belts.
“Thank you mom for your advice. I am a beginner in this field,” Hilton wrote.

Hilton and Reum Son via surrogacy It's due in February 2023. Last Thanksgiving, the couple also revealed that they had a daughter together with the help of a surrogate mother.
Ahead of welcoming Phoenix, Hilton spoke exclusively to Fox News Digital, saying she “can't wait” to finally become a mother.
“We talk about it every day,” she said of her conversations with Reum, “I'm just trying to find the time in my schedule. I have a lot of projects in the works, I just launched my media company, 11:11 Media, so there's a lot going on, but it's definitely one of my top priorities.”
