Pat McAfee had some degree of friction at the NFL combine in the same city where his ESPN shows are hosted daily.
While responding to front office sports reports McAfee will not participate in the 2025 NFL Draft In Green Bay, because of “inadequate respect,” McAfee described a high level of frustration towards the organizers of the NFL event.
The main issue for the former Indianapolis Colts Punter seemed to have something to do with the location of the set, but he didn't stop him from pulling a solid list of NFL guests throughout the week.
“I think someone at that mid-level who has power wanted to bend the fact that they have power. Before mimicking the manager, McAfee said, “'You have to sign off to this. You can't do that. You can't do that. This is what I'm saying Yada Yada.” All bulls –t. You know.
“I think I'm younger than these people, so the hoops were made to jump over for no reason. So they think they can, you know. I don't think they'll get it. The draft was [going] To be the same thing. Where they place us, reportedly. What we have to do is how that goes. Bends the power and shows me, my show and my peers at the same time. We have something to do with the actual leagues, but I think.
“That being said, I don't want to play their game.”
McAfee, 37, closed the door saying he wouldn't go to the Wisconsin NFL Draft because of “lack of respect.”
But then McAfee responded to the fans “absolutely” and asked him “still intending to live for the draft.”
Although sometimes Rocky, his ESPN relationship has increased his ability to acquire guests and increased stronger access to the league.
Not this time, but it will be displayed.
