Baltimore Ravens fans are keeping an eye on former linebacker Patrick Queen after comments he made introducing him as the newest member of the AFC North rival Pittsburgh Steelers.

On Friday, Queen stood before the media in Pittsburgh and said he can’t wait to take on the role of “villain” when the time comes for the Steelers to face the Ravens again, a team they play twice each season.

“It’s weird, but I want to be that villain. I want to be that guy. I want to do something for them,” Queen said.

Ravens fans didn’t like what Queen said, and they’ve been attacking him even more since he left the Ravens in free agency to join their rival. Star players joining teams they’ve despised every season has been the theme of this NFL offseason.

But Queen is clearly fed up with the amount of comments being thrown at her after posting on X on Saturday night.

Queen tweeted: “Honestly, there’s nothing we can do about it.” “It’s not that deep for us players until game week and you guys don’t understand the fact that it wasn’t up to me. I’ve got it now because it’s time for me to do what I need to do. “I gave everything I have to you.” “Everyone is hurt by everything I say. Please touch the grass and fill the void in your life. To those who have turned on and still show love, this is… Not to all of you.”

He doubled down when one account suggested Queen was already having trouble playing the villain.

“I can and I will,” he said. “Thank you, I’m not taking back what I said. I’m saying something at the end.”

Queen explained why he chose the Steelers, including head coach Mike Tomlin.

“That guy standing over there,” Queen said of Tomlin. “I think this organization itself is known for winning, it’s known for great defense, and they’ve got a lot of stars here. So I’m going to be a part of that and be an additional piece to trying to win again.” I just wanted to be.”

The 6-foot, 230-pound linebacker was selected by the Ravens with the 28th overall pick out of LSU in the 2020 NFL Draft. Although he had a slow start to his career, especially with missed tackles, he has improved his skills over the past two seasons.
