Patriots RB TreVeyon Henderson Criticizes Massachusetts Authorities

New England Patriots running back TreVeyon Henderson has spoken out against Massachusetts state authorities following a distressing case where a Catholic family lost custody of their teenage daughter after they refused to support her gender transition. The issue arose when Joseph and Arlene Kutzko’s 15-year-old child was taken by child welfare officials.

Using social media, Henderson reacted strongly to the Kutzkos’ situation, invoking biblical references to highlight what he sees as an infringement on parental rights.

Quoting the Bible, Henderson pointed out that parents have a divine mandate to guide their children in alignment with their beliefs. He wrote, “The God we serve commands parents to ‘Direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it.’ Proverbs 22:6. However, it seems this right is being taken away by the state.”

The NFL player emphasized that the Kutzkos were motivated by love and faith in their opposition to the transition, stating, “These parents wish to honor our Lord and keep their daughter away from choices that could harm her, which is the duty entrusted to parents by God. May justice prevail.”

This controversy began at Algonquin Regional High School, where a counselor allegedly facilitated the social transition of the girl without the parents’ knowledge. When the Kutzkos learned that their daughter was being referred to with a male name and pronouns, they raised concerns based on their traditional Catholic values.

After the Kutzkos expressed their objections, the counselor reported the family to the Department of Children and Families (DCF), leading to the state taking over guardianship of the minor and issuing a restraining order against the parents and her brother.

Despite finding no basis for allegations of physical abuse, DCF kept the state’s guardianship intact. However, a recent legal development saw a judge grant a temporary injunction stopping DCF from administering hormone therapy to the minor as the lawsuit progresses.

The Kutzkos are actively fighting to regain custody and their parental rights, with the next court hearing scheduled for October 29.
