Paul Pierce sports a T-shirt featuring the ‘Choke 2.0’ back page on FS1

Paul Pierce recently showed his appreciation for the Post’s Thursday back page by wearing a t-shirt that featured it.

The former Celtics star and current FS1 commentator showcased a shirt depicting the back page related to “Chalk 2.0.” He expressed his admiration during an episode of “Speak,” even gifting shirts to his co-hosts.

The back page highlighted Tyrese Halliburton, who recreated Reggie Miller’s famous choke gesture from the 1994 playoffs against the Knicks.

“As you can see, I brought this for my New York fans. Just don’t get mad at me when you hear those New York fans,” Pierce said, raising his shirt for the camera. “This photo is from the New York Post.”

Pierce conveyed his admiration for “the best sports in town.” He mentioned, “They sent this to me. I enjoy reading New York posts. I’m a fan,” before distributing shirts to the other panelists.

The Knicks faced a tough loss to the Pacers in Game 1, blowing a double-digit lead in the fourth quarter at Madison Square Garden.

This defeat felt reminiscent of Miller’s legendary playoff moments against the Knicks back in the ’90s.

Pierce made it clear where his loyalties lay during the series, saying, “Pacers are going to shine.” Not a surprising sentiment, given the situation.

Pierce wasn’t alone in reveling in the Knicks’ struggles after Game 1. Another FS1 host, alongside Danny Parkin, also wore a shirt featuring Halliburton during Thursday’s show, a playful jab at her fellow commentators, including former WFAN host Craig Carton.

The Knicks have an opportunity to rebound in Game 2 on Friday night.
