Evangelist and White House faith advisor Paula White portray the criticism of a new online video that appears to promise seven supernatural blessings to those who donate to her mission. The white quote cites the Exodus in the video, linking her appeal to the Bible Passover and Christian observance of Holy Week. White says her financial appeal is financial appeal to those who “have the ability to stand with us,” but the male narration in the video presents a more direct call.
The video was part of her Sunday live stream.
“We will close on Sunday, April 12th to 18th Good Friday and end on Easter Sunday, and when we respect God in Passover, we believe we will receive these seven supernatural blessings for you and your home,” she says in the video. According to ” Exodus 23God assigns you an angel. He will become your enemy. He will give you prosperity. He will take the illness away from you. He gives you a long life. He increases his inheritance and gives him special blessings. You're not doing this to get anything, but you do it in honor of God and realize what you can receive. ”
Most of the video focuses on interpretations of the Bible, but she candidly adds, “ministries take money.”
For gifts of $50 or more, viewers can receive a CD of White's prayers and Communion. The $125 donation will bring “Special Olive Wood Communion from the Holy Land.” “As the Holy Spirit guides, those who give a special Passover offering of over $1,000 will receive all of the above and another 10-inch Waterford Crystal Cross. The narration then declares: Seven supernatural blessings are listed in the $1,000 donation graphics.
“Parra during the special Good Friday, held at noon on April 18th, online Global Communion Service,” Voiceover says. “Be respectful of the Lord with your highest commanded Passover offering, and prepare to celebrate and give grace this Passover Easter resurrection season.”
When these words play, a white clip will appear on the screen.
“I want you to believe – God, the faithful God, will apply the covenant of Jesus Christ's blood, and give you and your family a miracle for you and your family to see so that you can testify to God's good,” she said in the video.
White is a senior adviser to President Trump's White House Faith Office.
