PBD proves Bill Maher has no real facts about Newsom

Entrepreneur and podcaster Patrick Bett-David asked comedian Bill Maher about California Governor Gavin Newsom and his stance on climate change, demanding a specific answer.

Bette David was talking to Maher in “”.club random“When he asked the host on the podcast if he liked Newsom.

“First of all, I love him,” Maher began. “Do I like everything he’s doing as governor of California? No, I don’t. I’m not saying he’s undertaxed,” Maher explained.

The comedian added that he thinks he would be a great presidential candidate because he is a “winner” and would be forced to “move to the center” if he ran for president.

Bette David then began trying to pinpoint specific Newsom policies and changes that Maher was a fan of.

“Are you a results-oriented person? … In what areas did Newsom win? You said he was a winner.”

“The winner of the election!” Maher replied.

“But on what basis?” Bette David quickly responded. “Do you want results? What did he do to California to say he’s a winner?”

Mr. Maher seemed reluctant to go into details, but said, “Oh, God, I don’t know, but he made it rain. Okay, dude? It’s not raining.” “It’s raining now, so he got mine.” Vote. “

“Candidates are based on being good debaters and deflecting opinions, which doesn’t necessarily get results…” Bette David argued.

“This is ridiculous. You really hope you’re better than this, but it’s a stupid argument,” Maher scoffed. “Do I like Newsom being good at elections? Because it means he can win. And do I think he’ll be a good president if he wins? I do.” continued Maher.

“But on what basis?” Bette David insisted.

Maher also claimed that Newsom is “attacking” “red tape” on projects like high-speed rail and homeless camps. However, the governor was unable to point out specific achievements or examples that made him a “winner.”

Maher’s position on climate change was similarly ambiguous. The comedian explained that climate science has reached a “consensus” because it’s about humans causing significant changes in the climate.

“I think it was 10,880 [scientists] …And only two people opposed the idea that climate change is real, it’s happening, and it’s caused by humans,” Maher argued. Additionally, Maher said climate science is not that complex, especially when it comes to climate change. Comparison with vaccine science and disease research.

“Climate. It’s not that complicated. I mean, I couldn’t do it, but climate science, it’s geology, chemistry and physics. It’s not a mystery like why people get Parkinson’s disease.”

Mr Maher also confirmed that he would not stop flying private jets, despite explanations that humans are having a negative impact on the environment.

“I can be called a bad environmentalist, but I can’t be called a hypocrite. So I’m not going to say I’m the greatest environmentalist. I couldn’t, and even if I were [taking a jet] Somewhere for fun…fuck you! you know what?Yes, there are certain parts of me [that] I’m going to live my life. ”

Maher explained that climate change is due to selfish human behavior.

“If you think it’s really going to make a difference to the 8 trillion planes that fly around the world every day and everything else, then you should make it illegal,” he said.

“Preventing humans from acting selfishly is what communism was trying to do, so we’re going to have to think about something.”
