Phoenix – After months of uncertainty in many Valley families, Arizona PCH and Blue Cross Blue Shield have reached an agreement to bring the hospital back to the insurance company's network.
Arizona Blue Cross Blue Shield, or Az Blue, was announced Saturday morning.
The company says the agreement will take effect soon and that families planning by PCH will have access to in-network care from today.
These members can also expect that any claims processed when the hospital was out of the network will be reprocessed as intranet claims. AZ Blue officials say the process could take several months to complete.
Phoenix Children's officers provide the following statement: ABC15:
“Phoenix Children's today has reached a new multi-year agreement with Bluecross BlueShield in Arizona to ensure that families with Bluecross Blueshield insurance coverage can receive the care they need at the benefit level within their network. I did.
“We recognize that this was a difficult time for families to navigate coverage options outside of the network. As with previous contract discussions, Phoenix children have been unable to sign contracts with insurance companies. We have been committed to ensuring that we meet the needs of our growing community. “For over 40 years, our families have trusted us to provide the highest quality pediatric care. We provide you with the most needed locations and places you need when you offer. This new contract supports that commitment.”
The agreement gives Bluecross BlueShield shared members and Phoenix children's patients access world-class pediatric health services at the benefit level within the network, including inpatients, outpatients, trauma, surgical, urgent, emergency, primary care and more. It will be like this. 50 locations throughout Arizona. ”
The dispute between the hospital and insurance company lasted several months as previous contracts expired in October.
