What do PGA Tour players do if there is a weather delay or the tour has to postpone the final round of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am?
On Sunday afternoon, Justin Thomas and Max Homa entertained themselves on social media after news broke that Sunday golf was being canceled.
The tour attempts to resume play at 8 a.m. Pacific time on Monday, but the postponement will give 80 pros a day off and more time on their hands.
Thomas and Homa took a comedic approach to their posts on X (formerly Twitter).
“It was just a bit of a breeze,” Homa wrote wryly.
In fact, the wind is howling on the course and the waves are crashing on the fairways. It has just started raining and wind speeds are reaching over 90 mph.
Thomas took a slightly different approach, imagining how wild the iconic par-3 seventh could be.
Pebble is completely unplayable today due to the wind…but the shot I had to take on number 7 today would have been worth it. 95 yards down the hill…40 miles/h from the left… just a chip with a 5 iron

“Pebble couldn’t play at all today because of the wind…but the shot I had to take today on number 7 would have been worth it in itself. 95 yards down the hill… and 40 mph off…just a 5-iron chip,” Thomas wrote.
CBS Sports analyst Trevor Immelman, a former professional golfer himself, jumped into the thread to give JT some advice.
It might be a safer play to drive it down the hill into the bunker and hit it to the green on No. 2…

Ben Griffin, another PGA Tour pro, thought the tournament should be launched.
Golf fans recently went wild over Jersey Jerry scoring a hole-in-one on the famous hole simulator. Why not try recreating it with a professional?
We implore all Pebble players to head to No. 7 today for the closest chance to a pin contest broadcast live on CBS ️@PGATOUR @CBS Sports

And then there’s Aaron Fleenor, JT Poston’s caddy. He also had a good idea of not getting wet or blown away by the weather.
who says no @CBS A player and caddy beer pong tournament was televised today in the taproom, featuring commentators @ColtKnost Includes in-game interview @Amanda_Balionis?
Probably a lot of people above me would say no, but it would be fun.

Of course, this prompted CBS Sports reporter Colt Knost to comment.his partner Amanda Renner also rang out.
Taproom opens at 11am! I am ready to accept all challengers!
— Colt Knost (@ColtKnost) February 4, 2024
It’s a little frustrating that we weren’t cast as participants. Colt and I call the winners.

Players and broadcast members appear to be making the most of the weather delay in preparation for Monday’s finish at Pebble Beach.
