Pelosi Tore Up Trump’s 2020 Speech; Had to Watch Him from Benches in 2025

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), who tore President Donald Trump's Union speech in 2020 as infamous, had to see an annoyed silence from the house bench when he addressed Congress on Tuesday.

Pelosi grabbed her wand and resigned from her leadership post after the 2022 Congressional election in which Republicans retake the House. She was still sure to hold her power at the party, even after leading her to her historic defeat in 2010.

In 2020, she was in the midst of an effort to each and eliminate President Trump from power. When he gave an excited speech touched on the themes of patriotism and national greatness, she responded by tearing the copy apart.

Her gestures were praised by Democrats and the media as the ultimate statement of light-empt against the man they disliked.

But all she and the other Democrats could do on Tuesday night was to swing their wands – trying to steal their heads before Rep. Al Green (D-TX) was kicked out of the chamber, or when Trump enjoyed his inauguration in Grand Style.

Plus, she had to endure it for a long time. Trump's speech shattered the record of the longest speech ever in a Congressional joint session, speaking for an hour and forty minutes, adding, and taking his time with each phrase.
