Pence urges Congress to pass bill banning TikTok in US: ‘Enough is enough’

Former Republican presidential primary candidate and Vice President Mike Pence has called on Congress to pass legislation to ban TikTok in the United States.

On Tuesday, a bipartisan House bill was announced that would ban the popular app unless its China-based parent company ByteDance sells it. The plan was introduced by Rep. Mike Gallagher (R-Wis.) and Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-Ill.), both top members of the House Select Committee on the Communist Party of China.

“This bill would completely ban TikTok, no matter how hard its creators try to hide it. The House Energy and Commerce Committee unanimously advanced the bill Thursday, and President Biden said he would sign the bill if it passes Congress.
