The Pentagon has declared the deployment of naval warships to strengthen security measures along the borders of the southern United States.

The naval warship USS was deployed to operate in the US and international waters on Saturday to support “border security operations.”
“USS departed badly from Naval Weapons Station York. [Virginia]for a scheduled deployment to the US Gulf,” said Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell.
“It is not only essential for the United States to control our borders through the land, but it is equally important for us to control the waters of our territories, and this development directly supports the Northern Command's mission to protect our sovereignty,” he added.
A Pentagon press release on the issue revealed that it will work “very closely” with the US Coast Guard to prevent drug and human smuggling networks from entering the US.
