On Thursday’s MSNBC broadcast of “Morning Joe,” Democratic National Committee Chairman Jaime Harrison said age isn’t the reason he votes for president, and that he doesn’t understand why people want certain things from President Joe Biden. “We’ve seen it over the last three and a half years. What more do we need to see?”
Harrison said:[I]It’s time to follow the CBC’s lead. It’s time to follow the CHC’s lead. It’s time to follow what we saw in Labor yesterday, bend your knees, stiffen your spine, and support this president. If you’re spending more time on TV talking about Joe Biden than you are talking about Donald Trump and Project 2025, then you, folks, have to get back on track. We have to focus on the greatest threat ever to American democracy: Donald Trump.”
Harrison added, “Would you vote for a president because of his age? Would you vote for him because he’s a good debater? … Those are not the reasons I’m voting for him.”
He then urged Democrats to “look at Joe Biden. He’s a good man, he’s an honorable man, he’s worked hard to transform this country. He’s done that for four years, and now he’s doing it in the NATO arena. He’s put America back on the international stage. So, I don’t understand. I have to look at this. I have to look at this. God, you’ve been watching this for the last three and a half years. What more do you need to look at?”
