As they have done for the past few Super Bowl broadcasts, the NFL opened the Super Bowl with Son’s performance. Let’s lift every voice and sing, It’s called the “Negro National Anthem.” But not all voices appreciated the left’s stance.
The song was performed by R&B singer, Grammy Award winner, and actress Andra Day.

The reaction was immediate, but many were reluctant.
The so-called Black National Anthem does not belong in the Super Bowl. We already have a national anthem and it includes everyone.

The Black National Anthem is a divisive song intended to drive a wedge between races.
Shame on you for promoting the NFL.
We are one nation with one national anthem.
It’s the Star-Spangled Banner.

Before tonight’s Super Bowl, as a young black man and a proud American, let me be clear.
There is only one national anthem.
There is only one United States of America.
And it is suitable for everyone: white, black, yellow and even maroon.
The left’s divisive plan… pic.twitter.com/uIYzYb3dua

The most wholesome thing that could happen during the Black National Anthem would be for a stadium to be filled with loud boos at this attempt to divide America.

There is no such thing as a “black national anthem.”

There is no such thing as a “black national anthem.”
If you think so, you are inherently anti-American.
Marxists know how to do one thing perfectly, and that is division.
The NFL should go out of business for allowing this kind of behavior.
But what else… pic.twitter.com/Gfyo1s9xqN

There is no such thing as a “black national anthem.”
We are all Americans, united by the great and beautiful Star-Spangled Banner.
The Super Bowl is supposed to unite us.
It is shameful that the NFL has decided to promote the politics of racial division once again.

The Black National Anthem is one of the most toxic and racist things out there.
The United States has only one national anthem, and it’s for everyone.

The black national anthem is awful, racist, and absurd.
There’s only one national anthem and we’re all Americans 🇺🇸

Wife: Today is the Super Bowl!
Me: We haven’t seen it.
Wife: Why?
Me: They are desecrating America’s national anthem by playing something called the “Negro national anthem.”
Wife: So does that mean Cardi is performing?
— Matt Gaetz (@mattgaetz) February 11, 2024
Disgraceful, divisive, racist garbage.

However, one commenter had a unique perspective on the song.
The reason I don’t care about the “Black National Anthem” is that it’s literally just a religious song, and it’s laughable with both the civil and spiritual beliefs of the left who want to use it for their own purposes. Because it is contradictory.
