People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) is calling on the White House to replace chicken eggs with potatoes at this year’s annual Easter Egg Roll.

The controversial group wrote in a letter: He told First Lady Jill Biden that he would like to “propose an attractive way to modernize the White House Easter Egg Roll,” scheduled for April 1.cent on the south lawn.
“Instead of promoting the harmful factory farming and slaughter industry, could you please start an annual White House Potato Roll?” the letter from PETA President Ingrid Newkirk states.
She went on to say that “Potato Rolls” “does not exploit any intelligent life and promotes empathy and kindness towards animals while supporting America’s potato farmers.”
“Potatoes are the country’s most popular vegetable and can be safely dyed, allowing for great traditional activities such as rolling, searching and decorating. Host a potato sack race or hot potato game. You can do it too!” That’s what the letter said.
The group has previously urged Biden to use “reusable plastic and wooden eggs, as well as nicely painted stones and egg-shaped balls.”
