Not just new trash. It’s now easy to watch old shows that would have been much harder, if not impossible, to find before the digital age.One of his favorite shows to watch when you’re nostalgic for the halcyon days of law and order is All Time His Classic “Colombo”
The unforgettable Columbo, played by Peter Falk, is a disheveled and seemingly sober LAPD homicide detective. Say what you will about the arrogant, high society types that Columbo chases, but they are better killers than the compulsive savages currently raping, stabbing, and shooting.
Columbo Murderer (played by an unknown person) Unique actors of the 70s and 80s, Dick Van Dyke, Johnny Cash, William Shatner, and other famous people similarly commit murder for good old-fashioned motives like greed and malice. In each episode, we learn the identity of the culprit from the beginning. It’s a pleasure to watch them squirm as they realize how much they underestimated the seemingly clumsy, uncouth detective in his shabby raincoat and cheap cigar. You can’t go wrong with any of his 69 episodes from 1968 to 2003, but if you’re looking for recommendations, a good place to start is 1971’s Murder by the Book, directed by a young Steven Spielberg. Probably.
