“This morning I got out of federal prison,” Navarro said, adding, “If they can get me, if they can get Donald Trump, watch out, they will get you.”

Navarro was convicted of contempt of Congress and sent to prison in March after he allegedly ignored subpoenas from a House committee tasked with investigating the events leading up to the Jan. 6 protests at the U.S. Capitol.NumberHe has also been accused of participating in an alleged attempt to rig the 2020 presidential election.

“Here’s the story,” Navarro said at the Republican National Convention. “Here’s how I ended up in prison. First the legislature got me. Your favorite Democrat, Nancy Pelosi, created your favorite committee, the phony January 6th Committee.Number “The committee asked me to violate executive privilege. What did I do? I refused.”

“The most important thing I want to tell you is, you might think this can’t happen to you,” Navarro added. “Make no mistake about it, they’re already coming after you. Joe and Kamala.”

“I went to jail so you guys don’t have to go to jail,” Navarro continued. “I’m going to wake you up!”

Then, in an unscripted moment, Mr. Navarro called his fiancée onto the stage and kissed her. “It’s OK,” attendees began chanting, repeating Mr. Navarro’s earlier statement.
