Peter Schrager confirms NFL Network exit for ‘good reasons’

Peter Schrager confirmed rumors that he was leaving “Good Morning Football” in installments on the NFL Network Show on Monday.

Fox Sports NFL insiders and broadcasters, who have been on the show since 2016, announced Monday was his last day and that he will leave for a “bright future.”

Schrager, 42, did not address last week's report. Front Office Sports That he is giving a “serious lecture” with ESPN. This could include contributions to various shows, such as “NFL Live,” “First Take,” and “Get Up,” by Mike Greenberg.

“The rumours are true. Today is my last day of 'Good Morning Soccer,” Schlager said. “I'm going to end with a great feeling. I'm going to celebrate today. I love everyone on this show. It's all good.

“But this will be the last episode I will be appearing on this program, and it is robbing me, but for a good reason and a bright future.

Kyle Brandt wrote down a joke about “Big News.” After the mock draft of Shrugger came out, he said, “You're leaving the show, that's pretty big. I need to adapt to it.”

Blunt teased Schlager's announcement on Sunday night, posting the caption, “Tomorrow, in a very special episode of Good Morning Football…” and a photo of his co-host.

Ian Rapoport confirmed that Schrager was leaving for his rival network, but could not specifically mention ESPN.

“Peter Schrager now agrees to someone else,” says NFL Insider. “We're not going to tell you who you are, that could be true for everyone. He's going to join another group of insiders I say.

If things move fast enough, Schrager could become part of ABC and ESPN coverage for the 2025 NFL Draft April 24-26th.

After the Schrager exit, Brandt became the sole host of the remaining “GMFB” hosts since the start of the show in 2016.

Schrager, a native of Freehold, New Jersey, appeared on the show remotely after moving to Los Angeles last season.

Along with Fox, Schrager also appeared on the network's weekly pre-game show.

He is hosting the podcast “Season with Peter Schrager” under the NFL podcast network Umbrella.
