Conclave was the surprise Victor at the Best Picture Awards at BAFTAS two weeks ago, and was the outstanding British Film Awards. Edward Berger's film has been nominated in eight Oscar categories.

For an adapted script, Oscar, Conclave defeated the completely unknown Synthing, Emilia Perez and the Nickel Boys.
