Pfizer scientist summoned to explain allegations that COVID vaccine testing was intentionally delayed prior to the 2020 election

Allegations of Vaccine Delay by Former Pfizer Scientist

WASHINGTON – A former Pfizer scientist was called to testify on Monday by House Republicans over claims that a high-ranking executive from a major pharmaceutical company conspired to “deliberately slow” down actions following the 2020 presidential election.

The House Judiciary Committee is seeking a deposition from Dr. Philip Domitzer, who previously served as the president and chief science officer of Pfizer’s RNA and the virus vaccine. The committee referred to a complaint made on July 22, which asserts that there was an attempt to withhold public health information to influence the election.

“So far, you have not complied with our requests,” stated Jim Jordan, the committee’s chairman. “Consequently, we must use enforcement measures to obtain your testimony and the documents we seek.”

Domitzer’s attorney, Susan Brune, suggested in a letter to the Judiciary Committee on May 29 that there were no records pertaining to her client, assuring that “Pfizer representatives are willing to communicate… and can provide the details requested.”

The Judiciary Committee has also reached out to Pfizer’s chairman and CEO, Dr. Albert Bourla, requesting access to various communications, including emails, texts, and memos related to clinical trials or exchanges with federal health agencies.

Reactions from Brune and Pfizer have not been received promptly.

Previously, Domitzer denied claims that he or anyone at Pfizer sought to delay the vaccine rollout.

In a letter sent to Jordan, GSK, a London-based pharmaceutical firm, first brought up allegations of conspiracy on April 16, stating that Domitzer had suggested relocating outside the US in November 2024. He questioned GSK employees about his motive for wanting to move, hinting it wasn’t a mere coincidence related to vaccine timing.

According to the same letter, Domitzer mentioned that “in the latter half of 2020, three senior members from Pfizer’s R&D department were part of decisions to intentionally slow down clinical testing.”

GSK has distanced itself from claims that Domitzer intentionally delayed results but mentioned that there was a scenario involving a slowdown of disclosure.

The outcome of Pfizer’s Covid vaccine was reviewed for safety and efficacy by independent experts, with findings shared just five days after the conclusion of the 2020 election, which was called for former President Joe Biden on November 7.

Domitzer reiterated his earlier denials about any attempts to hold back the vaccine distribution, suggesting that his remarks to GSK were misinterpreted.

It’s also noteworthy that Domitzer has made political donations exclusively to Democratic candidates, as displayed in filings to the Federal Election Commission (FEC). This includes contributions amounting to hundreds of dollars to congressional candidates during his time at Novartis while developing vaccines.

Manhattan prosecutors unearthed allegations regarding vaccine trials during a federal investigation into Pfizer.

A company statement underscored that the development of the Covid-19 vaccine was transparently guided by science and the US FDA in 2020. They emphasized that the facts surrounding the hard work of scientists, regulators, and clinical trial volunteers should be recognized, dismissing opposing theories as fabricated and untrue.
