Philadelphia’s All-Star Game Buzz: An Unexpected Leak

Philadelphia, known as the birthplace of the nation, often shines during Independence Day festivities. This year, however, the city is stirring attention due to a little hiccup.

The MLB All-Star Game is set for July 14 at Citizens Bank Park, with player announcements coming this Saturday evening.

Interestingly, it seems some information slipped out via a series of banners displayed on lampposts throughout the city.

Photos of these banners have surfaced on social media, revealing that certain players are likely to participate in the Midsummer Classic.

Oops, right?

It’s not every day you spot banners featuring Atlanta Braves first baseman Matt Olson in Philadelphia—unless, of course, he’s going to play in the city’s All-Star Game.

Some of these player selections might not surprise anyone. I mean, seeing Pittsburgh Pirates ace Paul Skeens up there seems like a safe choice. Honestly, he could have been on display for months, and everyone would just nod and say, “Yeah, that makes sense.”

It’s baffling how an error like this happens. You’d think the guidance would be pretty simple: no banners until July 5th.

It’s almost as if the instructions landed in the hands of someone who was only half-paying attention while watching TikTok.

The official roster announcement? That’s happening Saturday night at 7:30 PM ET on FOX.
