Photo of Jennifer Lopez impersonator spreads rapidly online after theft in Minnesota

A woman from Minnesota, Cyrena Anne Quast, 35, has caught the attention of social media after her mugshot surfaced online, as many users noted her striking resemblance to a well-known pop star.

Quast was arrested on August 30 for allegedly stealing two packages of power tool batteries, worth about $580, from a store in Monticello. This was detailed in a criminal complaint.

However, it’s her booking photo that has caused quite a stir on the internet.

Quick to notice the resemblance, social media users commented on how closely she resembled Jennifer Lopez. One user exclaimed, “It really does look like her!” while others humorously suggested they could almost be twins. Another comment playfully referred to Quast as “the real Jenny from the block,” a nod to Lopez’s famous song.

Some users took the comparison a bit further, saying she looked like J.Lo if the superstar had “a really rough week.” Others jokingly suggested that maybe Quast could be a stunt double for Lopez someday.

Still, not everyone agreed with the idea of an uncanny resemblance. Many pushed back against the notion, with one user bluntly stating, “She looks absolutely nothing like her.”

Quast raised suspicions during her alleged return to the store when an employee recognized her from a previous theft and notified the police, as noted in the complaint.

She was subsequently arrested and booked into the Wright County Jail on a charge of gross misdemeanor theft.
